Day Tour

This is going to be a short post..went for a day tour with the mde people..it was raining..so not a really a good trip for me..activity of the day is just shopping..great place to shop i think..walk around to find souveniours for families back at home but too bad..found something for me instead..

below is a picture of the street we went to..there are many shops there..u can also find branded goods like nike and adidas..one thing i realize about the shops is that..they have many2 people working there..at least there will be 2 people waiting for us at the doorstep of the shop trying their best to pull customers in and alot more inside to follow u around..and then i wonder..how much do they get paid..i dunt really think its necessary for the shop to hire so many people..i think this shows how bad economy is..people are willing to work for anything and the companies now have to lower salaries just so they can give more opportunities for other to work..the number of unemployment is also very high in china..
if they cant find work..they are forced to beg..especiallly the elderly..

Industry visit 2/cherry blossom

another industrial visit..this time..optical fibre and cable..its one of the best in china..they also joint venture with other big name companies overseas..so far i have visited the steel industry and now the optical fibre..i have to say i am very impress with china..i dont really see them as advanced in all these industries but now i know..they have huge potential in dominating the world..
we went for a tour around..see the processes..but not all is revealed to us..company secret..like we understand their secret like tt..see the guy below..with the red jacket..he's tour us around..explain everything(almost)..we also cannot take pictures inside..so too bad ah..


after tt visit..we went to visit the other wuhan university..watch cherry blossom.very fortunate to witness it as it only bloom 2 weeks a year..i tink ah..but we visit it at the end so..maybe its could be nicer if we went earlier..but still..a great view..




ouh yah..and i got myself my own self potrait..haha..yq was suppose to do it to..we made a deal man..but nvrm..still very happy with the work..looks like a slimmer version of me..haha..wait ah..4 more years..maybe then i look like tt..cost me 30 yuan btw..not bad ah..but must stay still 10 min..

and finally..i got a picture of this bridge..i saw it a long time ago..but nvr got a chance to take pic..so here it is..i share with u all..love the design of it..unique and nice..looks modern..

Wudang mountain

weekend trip..wudang mountain..very very excited about it..i really like being close to nature..set off early tt dae..long journey to the place..spent the 1st dae visiting all the tourist attraction spots there..we only climb the next day..

tt nite..spent the nite in one of the best hotels i had been in china..but we only stay there like for several hours..
wat many didnt noe..we had a deep discussion among us tt nite whether to climb or to take cable car..all of us wanted to climb but afraid that we might be late and delay the whole group..after a long talk among us..we decide to climb..which i tink no one regret..



the whole climb..was long..tiring..but i tink it brings out the best among us..i got to see the bond and team spirit among the whole group getting stronger..


finally we made it to the top..3 hours..conquer another mountain..

honestly..i dont feel tired after the climb..but instead..i feel very calm..relax..as i appreciate the beauty of nature..tts something i really find amazing about the mountain..

i enojyed the climb as i get to exercise and enjoy the magnificant view of the nature..however i was a little disappointed that there is little natural trail for us to walk on..we mostly spent our time climbing up stairs..
and at the top..i realize alot of people ask me to make a wish..so i did..its suppose to have a higher chance of coming true..i used to not believe in all this..but common..after all the hard work..and the view..maybe my prayer will come true..

took a cable car down..went for our dinner..and began the long journey back to our school..

last IS lesson/night market

Its our last IS lesson..so i am gonna dedicate this post to list down at least 7 things that i learn during xiao ling's lesson..she put on so much effort..always smiling..never get angry with us..and thus i wanne show..i did learn something..although i slack alot in class..

after class we went to Jian She7 street..its like a night market..some of us wanne buy shoes for the climb during the weeknds..i alrdy had mine..so juz go sightseeing..and wat a sight it is..we took a bus there..1 yuan a person..

the market sell of kinds of things..from watches..to shirts..can buy some souveniours for ppl in Singapore here..haha..cheap and it looks good..but not now ah..wait for the last week..save money first..after tt we went for dinnner..all of them bought chicken each..then we settle down in some restaurant..they drink beer..buy some other food..

after that we continue walking..went to adidas and nike store..i realize that some of the products there are more expensive compared to Singapore..adidas and nike must be a huge brand here in China..there's also competition from local brands like 361 and so on..

went back after that..we took our time to finished up all our work like blogging..results coming out tmr..haha..cant wait..

industrial visit

got a chance to visit a steel manufacturing factory on tuesday morning..Wugang Steel Factory..havnt really seen how they make steel..have to wear helmet to get in..cannot take pictures btw..so too bad ah..from outside only can..the moment we went in..i can alrdy feel the burning heat..we took a walk through the whole process of steel making..we get to see steel being heated up..pulled into sheets..cut..cooled down..and then being move somewhere to be stored..even after being cooled..the heat can still be felt when u are near it..fun experience to witness the process upclose..maybe i could be working in these industries in the future..may nvr noe..hope i dunt..haha..hot lah..very noisy also..

like mondae..after that we went for environment tech lesson..after lesson we watch a movie..never back down..a fighting movie..find it simple but good movie..its suppose to get us in the mood for this weekend trip to wudang mountain..it kinda work..haha..

we went to try out the local fast food also..quite impress with wat they have..very nice..its like a combination of kfc and macdonald but its cheaper and taste a bit different..

my leg has been better nowadays..might be ready to go for running again..cant wait..

3 Gorges Dam

haha..i know its very long since i update..alrdy thursdae..ok so last weekend..we went to the 3 Gorges Dam..very excited about it..

took a very long bus trip before we reach the place..took a trip around to take some photos..

after dinner..which i think is one of the few good meals i had in China..we finally board the cruise..suppose to be 4 star..but i dunt tink so..nothing much to do..hallway all quite small to me..the rooms are ok..good bed..but the toilet is terriblle..cant even flush properly and small..but all this doesnt really matter to me cos i usually spent my time on the deck..enjoy the view..

but the main event for me that nite..to see our boat pass through one of the water gates..in order to do that..our boat has to enter this gate into this narraw kinda canal..when the gate close..water level in there starts to rise quickly until we reach a new level..so that we can go through the gate where the water level is higher..

the next morning..weather is very very cold..so not prepared for it..shiver myself to the toilet..went to have breakfast..food on the boat..hate it..but i guess tts wat people here eat..get used to it..i dunt really mind..we then change to a touring boat..go up the shennong stream i tink..eh all tis trip..all tour guide speak in chinese..wat to do..


after that..we change to a sampan..wahh..getting closer to the river..got to taste the river water..refreshing..while i was on that sampan i suddenly really miss my dragon boating days..haha..so the villagers row the boat up..until a point where they cant row anymore as its shallow tt they have to pull the boat manually..its really a great experience for me..

went back to our boat..2 hour journey later reach our cruise..had lunch..had a rest before reaching another place..chongqin..its alrdy getting dark when we reached there..we tour bai di cheng there..its is famous for the statue and artifact of the wars..gotta climb like hundred over steps to get there..appreciate the opportunity to exercise..

when we went back to cruise..i feel so tired..had dinner..spent time with friends around the boat..before going to sleep..the next morning..we set off to go back to wuhan..back 'home'..on the way we stop at yi chang city to buy some local famous snacks as souveniors..other than that..i juz listen to my mp3 and rest till we reach back..

personally..i love the whole trip..three gorges is one of the place to visit..i love the great view of nature..although i know the dam help to generate electricity for the people..i still am abit against the dam due to all other problem that the project created like some environmental problem and relocation of people..i also wanne say that the standard of the cruise have to improve..three gorges dam is a famous place and alot of tourist will definitely come to visit..its their chance to show how good china can be..other than that..i really enjoy the trip..would want to come back when its fully ready..

lessons

mondae to thursdae..have lesson everydae..i miss it on mondae due to my leg..torture myself to class on tuesdae..its better the nxt dae..we have two lesson..one is our core module which is taught by Mr chong..tts Environment technology..and the other module is being taught by one of the University lecturer who will be teaching us about China..


the class about China is not that important..even so..i try my best not to sleep but damn..i hate history..i learnt a something everydae from the class which i think is great..but i wanne talk about the lecturer..she is a very understanding a nice teacher..she knew her lesson is boring..tried her very best in teaching whatever she is supposed to..and i really mean the best..i even feel guilty sleeping in her class..but really cant help it..maybe she will get to teach something more interesting the next time..then i think i will really enjoy her lesson..


environment technology is the most important..its a core module for us CBE students..i have always enjoy Mr Chong's lesson..no problem with that..but i really like this module..1st of all..its related to the environment..one dae i am so gonna blog about all these mangkuks who dont give a care about the environment..the other reason i like is because during lesson..we got to watch all kinds of video and witness the devastation that is happening around the world..u should watch The Inconvinient Truth by Al gore..i have watch it b4..its a great movie..i really hope someone..if not me..will come out of something to help save the earth before its too late..ouh..dunt have photos of Environment Tech class leh..sorry..next time ah

cey..ok enough drama..gotta pack my beg..leaving for Three Gorges Dam tomorrow..yeah..so i wont be in th ehostel until sundae..will be back soon..bye..

Hurt my leg

..sundae nite..20 metre from dorm..dunnoe wat satan rush into me..force me to run in the dark..dunnoe how..miss a step down..and twist my leg..bloody hurts lah..

initially i thought its a normal sprain..sportsman mah..always have this kind of injury..but somehow i noe this is the worst sprain i ever have..couldnt sleep that nite..

..Mr chong knew about it the next morning..he yq and the uni DM took me to the hospital..btw..THANKS ALOT..pain getting worst..but LUCKILY for me..i feel bad for this btw..the DM mother is docter there..soooo..i got priority..haha..bypass everyone..

went for xray..saw a slight ermm..slight..i dunt noe how to sae..lets juz sae its not how its suppose to be..but they sae nothing serious..all i need is rest..so after getting my leg bandaged..went back to the hostel for me to rest..

while i was at the hospital..i cant stop wondering if i was alone here..no one can speak english..they cant even spell my name rite..i was given all kind of name..hepdy..harpy..even happy..its HARDY lah oi..

so for the past 3 days i been resting at dorm..there's me below..and NO THOSE ARE NOT MINE..its meiyi's i tink..she came over to borrow my slipper..but i would wanne sae thx to all of them..who cares so much bout me..buy food..do this..do that..listen to all my crap..thanks you all..

i can sae i recover quite fast..getting better alrdy..
